I am incredibly excited to get the school year started and I cannot wait to meet you all on August 1st. It is going to be an excellent year and I know that we are going to make it great!

About Me

I am an Arizona native who graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale. After high school, I attended Arizona State University graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History specializing in both European and United States history. During my undergraduate studies I contributed content for a National Endowment for the Humanities grant project on the Grand Canyon, worked as a research assistant transcribing journals from the 1870s, researched women and modernity in early 20th century Los Angeles for a professor's book, and received an honorable mention for a paper submitted to Arizona State University's SHPRS Currents: Undergraduate Research Journal in History, Philosophy and Religious Studies. After completing my undergraduate degree, I went back to ASU in order to fulfill my dreams of becoming a teacher and graduated in May 2012 with a Master of Education. Since that time I have accumulated 5 years of teaching experience in both on level and Advanced Placement United States History, I have attended three National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institutes/Seminars, and have been a two time presenter at the Arizona Department of Education's Civic Learning Conference. I am incredibly excited to be teaching at Pope and I am looking forward to an amazing year!
